Okay, so.  Good news!  I am participating in NaNoWriMo as a birthday present to myself for turning 40 this month.

1768 / 50000 words. 4% done!

I have already started and met my first day's word goal.  I am feeling cautiously optimistic at this point.

However, there is some bad news inherent in this endeavor.

I will not be working on HBM again until after November is over. 

I do apologize, but I have to finish this goal of mine.  In order to do that, I cannot be distracted by fanfiction.  I will finish HBM; I promise.  I just need to take a month off.

I will be posting progress reports, etc. on this novel in my community sugared_limes, however, the community is only going to be open for new membership until November 7th.  I will post progress reports daily and I will post excerpts for review once a week.  I will close the community to new members on November 7th and it will remain closed until I get a first draft finished, hopefully by the end of January.

I appreciate your understanding of my desire to participate in NaNoWriMo this year (such an auspicious age, 40) and I look forward to your constructive criticism of my efforts should you choose to join sugared_limes for the duration.
