I watched Dog The Bounty Hunter last night instead of SVU and honestly I enjoy that show more.

Yeah, I now watch The Closer. Poor SVU...too stupid to realize it's dead.

Yeah it missplaced the memo with all the important facts

I actually watched SVU last night, but it's because the kid on this episode scares the daylights out of me. It's the first time in weeks I've even bothered.

Oh, and the new cat wouldn't move off my chest long enough to let me change the channel. Yep, blame the cat.

Isn't it, though? :D

OMG! I just figured it out. SVU has been doomed because, as I can remember it, there has never been a pie reference. Has there? What about a cephalopod reference? Warner ever find either of those in somebody's stomach contents? Liv ever bring either as a snack? The mark of good entertainment is missing from SVU. And apparently a show can last 6 seasons without it, but no longer. </in-joke>

Damn, I'm craving me some fried octopus.

A cephalo-blog???? OMG! I am so going there at least once a week. I might make it a permanent tab!

And you are RIGHT. I cannot remember a single reference to pie or to cephalopods on SVU. Stupid people. They should have realized.

Consider this fan mail...
Dear Erin,

I couldn't find a current email address for you anywhere, so I thought I'd post this here instead. I hope that's alright.

Many, many moons ago, I used to write fan fiction. Subsequently, my fandom kind of went down in flames, and I rather lost interest in the genre after that -- until recently when I began watching reruns of Star Trek: Voyager, and finally began to understand the appeal of various Seven of Nine-based 'ships. Gamely, I searched online for some Janeway/Seven stories, and soon found Arte/Scienza in an archive.

It was marvelous -- truly marvelous, and very satisfying. You are the first person I've read in this particular fandom who got the pacing and characterization right for this couple. Truly well done!

After a bit more searching, I found a little treasure chest hoard of other stories of yours, which I shall begin reading soon. I did read the existing three installments of Sola-Insieme, and enjoyed those very much as well.

I just wanted to thank you for the pleasure of reading your stories, and to add my plea to all the others -- if you are the least bit inclined, do please get around one of these days to finishing Sola-Insieme. It's a particularly nasty scrape you've gotten the crew into, and I'd love to see how they win their way out of it.

Thanks again,
Julia (formerly Dumbsaint of some Buffyverse infamy)

Re: Consider this fan mail...
Julia,

First, thank you for the lovely compliments! I am so glad that you liked my J/7 work. As for Sola/Insieme, that is a story that still haunts me. LOL Just ask my gf. Last night I was able to tell her the entire plot from memory even though I haven't read it in years. Sometime during the writing of Sola/Insieme, I became enamored of the B'Elanna/Seven pairing instead of Janeway/Seven and left S/I to write B/7 and to start a Yahoo group for them. If you are so inclined, you might want to join. It is quite active, even now, and we always have something new to read.

It is called Voq_Je_Bang.

I have also branched out into Law & Order:SVU stories with Casey Novak and Olivia Benson. Those can be found at http://community.livejournal.com/copper_n_steel/

And of course, I archive most of my work at ralst's site, Passion & Perfection. I think Perfect Misfits has some of my work too.

Will I ever finish Sola/Insieme? I won't say that I will never do so. However, the finished product might not be what people would expect. I do not think I could write a J/7 story now.

Thanks again for your wonderful feedback. My email address is limegreenbeez@gmail.com Feel free to email me there.
