Baby Bumps, Bad Fanfic, and Nightmares: Was it the Green Curry?
So "Shark" last night started in earnest with the baby bump cover-up and--my God!--they did a lot of it! In one episode, I counted the following baby bump camouflage attempts:

Ultra black clothing, so black you couldn't tell where the shirt ended and the pants begun. She looked like a walking black hole with a nice necklace.

The Giant Attache Case of Hiding. This thing was bigger than some New York apartments.

A file folder raised with such a sense of timing that I feel sure she practiced before the shot.

The red "I'm not sure if that's a scarf around your neck or a crotch-curtain". O_O

The Gesticulating Hands of Obfuscation.

Not one but TWO chairs lowered behind conference tables to the point that I started wishing for booster seats.

And my personal favorite, the railing of the witness box in court. It was almost subtle. Almost doesn't count, though. And therefore, it stood out painfully.

Keep in mind that "Shark" takes place in LA, so Jeri won't be able to borrow Mariska's +5 Puffy Coat of Invisibility. Or practically anything else Mariska wore to hide the fact that she was pregnant. However, she could attempt the Suffer the Little Children technique, where Mariska was constantly being filmed behind gaggles of roughly 4-foot tall children. That might be something that could translate to LA...

Speaking of "Shark", with Madeline Poe's little subtexty moment last night, I got to wondering if there was any Devlin/Poe fanfic out there. I found two but I didn't read them. I was a little frightened by the author's username. However, I also found something that was just BAD, with a capital WTF??? It was a Madeline/Julie fic. O_O Um, yuck!

And speaking of yuck, I had the most horrible nightmare last night. In it, my father dragged my mother and I to an out-of-state prison to meet an aging rapist/murderer who had been immortalized in a song my father liked. The man, upon our arrival, was lying in a ward situation, on oxygen and seemed to be rather feeble and helpless, until he saw my mother and I. Then he seemed to grow progressively stronger and more devious. At one point, he attempted to separate my parents from me and I had the distinct feeling he was attempting to divide and conquer. I convinced my parents that we had to leave right away and we did, leaving the poor little woman who was the prison guide, Ms. Pujhols (?), to deal with the man. Once home, we found out that he had raped and murdered Ms. Pujhols and escaped from prison. Needless to say, I was all for moving and changing names but before I convinced my parents of that, my alarm went off.

This nightmare followed two previous nights of weird television-related dreams about love and romance (one where Radar was in love with Margaret Houlihan and one where Monica from Friends was dating Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer--yeah, I have no idea). I was hoping for a third to round out the absurdity but no, I get serial killers escaping from prison. Not cool.

Well, I should go get ready for work.

Dammit.

Twoodles.

LOL (at the covering the baby bump stuff) oy for the dream and wow, i didn't know that jeri was preggers...

and you know, i saw the madeline scene, turned to mom and said, "gee, i wonder how long it'll take before there's jessica/madeline fic"

although for me... waaaaaaaaaaaay too much blondeness.

First, that's an Erin Gray icon. Of which I heartily approve! Huzzah!

Second, Ms. Ryan and her new husband worked overtime on their Loire Valley honeymoon and she's due in March. :)

Third, yes. Too much blonde. But damn, it sure is a distracting thought. LOL

I'm a big M*A*S*H fan from back in the day.

Radar and Margaret? That's so inappropriate it's hot.

Wait... how about Nurse Kelly and Father Mulcahey... then Margaret walks in...

Rethink that. It doesn't pay much. And by "much", I mean anything. ;)

Yeah, it was totally inappropriate. Margaret was crying and Radar cupped her face in his hands and wiped away her tears with his thumbs, whispering soothing things to her... O_o

Now, if I have a Nurse Kelly/Father Mulcahey dream tonight, I'll know who to blame. Thanks, Stan... Grrrr...

thanks for the info on JR - had no idea but the whole TV thing sounds painful...

Monica/Willow - darlin' you need to get out more, that's just strange

but it is so much better than the prison dream - glad I don't remember mind 'cause otherwise I'd spend too much time wondering why I was dreaming such stuff

I'm blaming it all on Chicken Green Curry. :)
