OH, THE HUMANITY OF IT ALL!
Okay, so this is going to be a really weird post for me because it will be my first bulleted post. Here goes:

--My laptop died its final death last week. I am getting a new one as soon as my tax return...um...returns. It will most likely have Windows Vista on it. I am underwhelmed.

--I burned my corneas last week. How, you ask? Fancy French hand lotion. Needless to say, said handlotion is now in the round file. However, I did contact the company and they are saying "We're So Sorry" by sending me a free bottle of massage lotion. Which I will KEEP AWAY FROM THE EYES LEST THEY BURN! OH, THE BURNING!

--I finally got done with the damnable Bookfair crapfest only to find out that we a) didn't make enough money to start the program and b) probably actually lost money with the amount of extra work (i.e. salary) I put into this project. The good news? The wench who came up with the project in the first place was fired! Ha HA! Take that!

--My gf, who got approximately 2 hours of sleep last night, is on her way here finally, following her father who is driving a Penske containing all of her worldly goods. If you get a few seconds over the next few days, will you please send her wakeful and energetic thoughts? Traveling that far on no sleep will be tortuous, I'm sure.

--Work is so BUSY right now! I thought February was bad but March is shaping up to be even worse. I am almost to the point where I would start to make lame jokes about needing a clone of myself. That's a bad place to be.

--School! Oh, don't get me started! The short story of this debacle is a) I dropped my English class because they forgot to tell me I didn't need to take English because I had the requisite transfer credits from my last degree; b) I am passing Anatomy/Physiology I with an A, currently; and c) Intro to Soc is the most ridiculous class to require of future nurses. Ugh.

--Jeri Ryan had her daughter, Gisele, on Sunday, March 2nd. 7lbs, 13oz. Mother and baby are said to be healthy and happy! Yay!

Okay...

Going back to work now. If you wish me to elaborate on any of the above, let me know.

Twoodles!

Erin

03/02/08. Seems like a good day. I hope so, yes. :)

And thanks for the tip on XP! :)

Well, now, it never rains but that it pours, what?

I've been in the buying of a new laptop situation recently myself, and, knowing it was going to have Vista on it, the first thing I did was reformat the hard drive for to install Linux.

As to the corneas, all I can say is "Yeow!"

I've been following young Tiffany's progress reports on Twitter. Quite frankly, my mind boggles. Just thinking about how big that country of yours is makes me sleepy.

I'd be interested to hear more about your edumacational adventures. From what I understand, American schooling is unlike what we have over here in many ways, and since I hope to be on the faculty of an American college (possibly) some day, I want to learn more from whatever source I can. I promise to post more about life here by the Cherwell if you'll oblige me :)

I will be happy to oblige you on the topic of edumacation here in the US. It will probably depress you, but I will not be held accountable for that. ;)

And yes, this country is too big. And, apparently, contains too much weather, as well. Blech.

I thought you we're telling me the US contains too much bleach.

I think my mother would opine that you can't ever have too much bleach.

I'm lucky I'm not blond.

Hi. I like, adore you but I never talk to you. I should start talking to people on my friends list, shouldn't I?

Anyway, Hi! *waves*. Good wakeful thoughts to your girlie.

::waves back:: Hello! Thank you for the lovely compliment! Talk to me anytime! I love chatting.

And thanks for the wakeful thoughts sent to my gf! They made it to Amarillo after 15 hours of driving. How she did that on two hours of sleep is completely beyond me... Must have been you all's assistance! :D
