Notes from a SAD sufferer...
Fall is here.

I know it doesn't truly start until the 21st, but Fall is here for me now, regardless of what the temperature is outside or whether or not I've seen even one leaf turn.

The light changed.

Yes. The light changed.

Anyone who suffers from Seasonal Affective Disorder (Summer Edition!) knows that moment... When the light changes from white and oppressive to golden and amazing, when the angle of the light moves from directly overhead to a gentler catercorner position. Coupled with the cooler breezes and the appearance of apples at the Farmer's Market, it's proof positive of the appearance of Fall.

My favorite time of year.

Yay!

Twoodles,

Erin

fall is one of my favorite seasons as well. here, the weather is slowly leaning toward the seasons of crunchy leaves... the temps are still high, but at night, we have a slow, cool breeze. i may have to make a trip up to apple hill in a few weeks. certainly after the long, hot summer, fall always comes in like a wonderful moment to breathe :)

Yes. It also brings what I call my "better brain". Hopefully my creativity will ramp up again now. :)

I love autumn light. I think it's why I loved San Francisco and Italy so much- the light was so perfect, even though I was in SF in the summer and Italy in the spring.

Oh my... I have this dream of going to Italy and seeing the sun setting against the buildings and just being so at peace. I bet it is perfect.

We're still having some Summery flashes here, in the worst possible way, where the mornings are 40 degrees and the afternoons are 70.

But the fact that our mornings are cold means I shall soon be relieved of Summer, and in a few brief months, Winter (the season to which Autumn takes second place) will reign.

I'm thrilled.

Ahh... A snow bunny, are you? :D Here, Fall is beautiful, colorful, and holds the yearly RenFest I always attend. It's damned near perfect. :D

Autumn is beautiful and colorful here, as well (though it brings the darn leaf peepers), and it holds the Highland Games, which I love, but I am most definitely a snow bunny. :D
