My Own Personal Corner of Hell
Why is it that every time my family turns on Two and a Half Men it has to be one of the two Jeri Ryan episodes?

OH.MY.FUCKING.GOD.

If I never have to see Jeri Ryan smooching on Robert Beltran, Charlie Sheen, or John Cryer again, I will be a happy little lesbian.

For God's sake! She's killing me!

She couldn't pick someone I like to smooch on? I mean, there are male actors out there that don't disgust me. She couldn't pick one of them? (Though, in all honestly, John Cryer does not disgust me. I just can't stand his character on this show.)

What will it take, huh, Jeri? Please, please, please tell me.

And hey, why couldn't she have been the one chosen to replace Elisabeth Rohm on L&O? I could so stand to see her as a kick ass ADA. Besides, her pinkie finger would be better at the role that that poor girl who plays Borgia.

Erg.

Jeri, Jeri, Jeri. Please. Stop killing me.

If you have to be with a man on a TV show, make it someone we can respect!

I just looked at the screen. In the immortal words of Phoebe, "MY EYES!! MY EYES!!"

Gross.

Twoodles.

I always wanted 7 and the Doctor together because they were my faves. Actually ... anyone but Chakotay would have been ok. Seriously, who falls for Chakotay .... Robert Beltran does nothing for me as well.

Not that Brannon Braga (irl) is much better, from the interviews I've read he's a jerk too.
seftiri: Limerseftiri on August 9th, 2005 04:41 am (UTC)
Yeah... Is Jeri still dating that colossal jerk? Damn, I would have hoped she'd have woken up and smelled the bullshit by now.

joemacsanne on August 9th, 2005 04:53 am (UTC)
LOL I thought they were married? Oh, if they're not together I'll be so pleased!!

Oh thank god they're not married (I just checked), but it appears as if they're still together. Fools.
seftiri: DN2seftiri on August 9th, 2005 04:59 am (UTC)
Married???? Don't SCARE me like that!

Jesus God...I thought I was going to have to kill him. LOL
joemacsanne on August 9th, 2005 05:01 am (UTC)
I swear, before I thought they were married and I was going to lose it. LOL but no, they're just listed as 'dating'. Hey, maybe they broke up and no one knows? LOL wait, that's not possible in Hollywood ...
ralstralst on August 9th, 2005 08:55 pm (UTC)
You've piqued my curiosity, who are the guys you wouldn't mind seeing Jeri smooch?

I thought she and Bragga were married too.
seftiri: Limerseftiri on August 9th, 2005 09:15 pm (UTC)
Hmmm...

Ice-T
Jesse L. Martin
Gary Dourdan
Steve Valentine
Jake Weber
Val Kilmer
Ben Kingsley
Harrison Ford

If I think of any others, I will let you know.

And we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Not only did she not marry Braga, she is no longer seeing him. Her bf, as of 2005, is chef Christophe Eme and they opened a restaurant in Cali called Ortolan (don't worry, I'm going to look it up now. ;) )

::doing the happy "she's not dating Boring Braga" dance::
ralstralst on August 9th, 2005 09:35 pm (UTC)
I don't know who half those people are, but Gary Dourdan is absolutely gorgeous. So I can't argue with that one. But isn't Harrison Ford a pensioner by now?
seftiri: DN2seftiri on August 9th, 2005 09:38 pm (UTC)
Ice-T = Fin Tutuola
Jesse Martin = Ed Green (mothership)
Steve Valentine = Nigel on Crossing Jordan
Jake Weber = Joe Dubois on Medium

And yeah, Harrison is looking a little rough around the edges these days. Sad, really.

Gary Dourdan is the one I'd most like to see her with. ;)

Ok .. haven't followed much of Star Trek so I had no idea who Jeri Ryan was. Still don't know anything more than what's on IMDB.. so care to expand on the Jeri Ryan fascination?
seftiri: Limerseftiri on August 9th, 2005 10:28 pm (UTC)
Criminy...where to begin?

Okay, I am a life long Trekker, was addicted to Star Trek: The Next Generation when it came on in the 80's. Made cakes for series premiere parties for both ST: Deep Space 9 and ST: Voyager. Was known as the Goddess of Trek when I worked in the bookstore.

Voyager lost interest for me until they brought Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine on. I was fascinated with her character for a while but then I fell head over heels with her when the show's only child character started to become enamored of Seven.

Two easiest ways to get me to fall in love with a character? 1) Give her a child/children to take care of. 2) Hurt/Comfort (i.e. along the order of "Night" for Casey).

I wrote Janeway/Seven fic for a while (Rachel, I am sorry. I repent!) but then I became the owner of Voq_Je_Bang on Yahoo Groups, a list devoted entirely to Torres/Seven femslash that has been going strong for over five years now. :)

My appreciation for the character of Seven has to do with her journey towards finding her own personality/strength and the journey she is/was on toward her own version of Humanity. As a former Borg drone, she had/has a long road to haul.

My appreciation for Jeri Ryan is in her sense of humor, her 10,000 watt smile, her beautiful eyes, and her general personality. She is a talented actress who isn't given much credit because she also happens to be a bombshell. Okay, and yeah, she has a body that just won't quit. I am a hips/derriere afficionado and hers are delectable. ;)

Did that sort of cover your question? LOL

lostingeekdomlostingeekdom on August 9th, 2005 10:35 pm (UTC)
Uh.. yeah. The last paragraph did. Made a lot of sense ;) Most of the previous stuff kinda zoomed over my head like the Enterprise. I've only watched some of the original, and maybe the first couple seasons of TNG (still have fond memories of Tasha Yar .. why'd they kill her?)

So does your fascination transfer into shows? IMDB has her listed with 'Boston Legal'. Another show I've never watched. David E. Kelley lost his hold on me after the mess that was Ally McBeal.
seftiri: DN2seftiri on August 9th, 2005 10:41 pm (UTC)
Actually, Jeri was on Boston Public, as a high school teacher, and I did get to watch a few eps of that before it was cancelled. I would love to see Jeri as a lawyer, though. LOL And it really depends on the show, as far as would I follow her to another show. I am actually going to watch the first ep of The OC that she is doing next season (she supposedly has a contract for seven eps) and if I can stomach the character, I will probably watch all seven of her eps.

And yes, why did they have to kill of Tasha Yar?? Sigh...
lostingeekdomlostingeekdom on August 9th, 2005 11:00 pm (UTC)
Ah .. I just saw 'Boston' and stopped there. Not that it makes a difference. I haven't seen that show either. As for the OC, *shudder* .. dude... you're really gonna risk that to get your Jeri fix? I'm impressed. I reserve watching 'The OC' for those times when I really want to kick my own ass. Can't figure a worse torture then that.
ralstralst on August 9th, 2005 09:49 pm (UTC)
Ah, well apart from Ice-T on SVU, I've not seen the others. And although I'm kind of fond of Ice-T's character, he is rather beauty challenged, so not someone I'd pick for Jeri to smooch... but that's just me.

lostingeekdomlostingeekdom on August 9th, 2005 10:25 pm (UTC)
Hee. Have you seen 'Tank Girl'? I thought Ice-T's makeup in it suited him perfectly. His features kinda lend themselves to a natural caricature.
seftiri: Not Silencedseftiri on August 9th, 2005 10:31 pm (UTC)
They do, don't they? He is an effects make-up artist's dream. (And I am an amateur effects make up person, so perhaps that is part of the reason I like him so much.) LOL
ralstralst on August 9th, 2005 10:41 pm (UTC)
Ah, Tank Girl, I remember it well... or at least I remember Naomi Watts well. But Ice-T did make one mean looking mutant kangaroo. Whereas the guy from China Beach actually made a cute mutant.
lostingeekdomlostingeekdom on August 9th, 2005 10:57 pm (UTC)
Brunette Naomi Watts with glasses! I only realised it was her when I watched the movie a second time (yeah, I actually did watch it again). I wonder how she would have looked in Tank Girl getup. I wasn't too fond of Lori Petty's voice. BTW .. Lori Petty on 'A league of their own' reminded me a lot of Gillian Anderson, though a very bad version.
ralstralst on August 9th, 2005 11:01 pm (UTC)
God, her voice was just scary. A brunette Naomi Watts was cute though.

I will admit to having seen that movie a time or two. I don't know how, but I have.
seftiri: DN2seftiri on August 9th, 2005 10:30 pm (UTC)
I based that choice on his overall personality, both as Fin and as himself. I just really like the man. He is what he is. It's a refreshing attitude.
ralstralst on August 9th, 2005 10:39 pm (UTC)
Whereas I was taking the low road and just thinking about who would look pretty with Jeri ::grin::

I'm having a shallow evening.
seftiri: DN2seftiri on August 9th, 2005 10:43 pm (UTC)
Oh, the low road is always a part of me. After all, what is my favorite thing about Jeri after her smile? Her ass. Doesn't get much more shallow than that. LOL
ralstralst on August 9th, 2005 11:03 pm (UTC)
I can actually take the high road where Jeri, as Seven, is concerned. I always want to dress her in something baggy - but just for you I'll make the baggy trousers tight in the butt. lol
lostingeekdomlostingeekdom on August 9th, 2005 11:21 pm (UTC)
Aaahhh ... I finally figured out that she's the one with the weird half mask and beehive hair in P&Ps banner. Huh. I need to expand out of the SVU section on occasion. Hey ... when will you start adding Veronica Mars slash?
