The Picslut Junkie Whore Speaks...
Hey there. Now I feel I have to disclaim this journal entry. Why? Because it has no purpose other than to delay me working on "20/20". I always have the hardest time starting a project, next paragraph, chapter, whatever... Once started, it goes pretty smoothly but it can sometimes take HOURS for me to settle down to write. WTF?

Well, I kinda know that I probably need to get my ritalin refilled. Why, you ask? Who needs focus, concentration, the ability to start and finish a sentence without drifting off somewhere?

Normally I would agree with you. Who needs it? But currently I have no fewer than five stories and one novel I am trying to write. In three different fandoms and original work. And most of the time I sit down, open my files, raise my fingers over the keyboard and...ooooooh, shiny!

I putz around, downloading pics of Diane, Mariska, and their respective characters. I re-read everything I've ever written. I check the hit counter on my website. I refresh my LiveJournal every 30 seconds to see if my friends have updated their journals. I update my own journal. And here, if we are to believe Spaceballs, is where "now now" is.

Sigh...

Okay...I have to buckle down. Buckling down, now. Gonna post this and get to work. Yes. That's the plan.

Dear God, I have trouble concentrating. I just spent the last 10 minutes trying to figure out how to put a pic of my niece in this post. Right after I said I was buckling down.

See?

Toodles-N-Doodles.

i have found that peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and Coke help me write more.

explains why I am surrounded by empty Skippy jars anyway.

LOL I ended up taking a nap and now I am much more focussed. Probably exhaustion. Ever since I "discovered" the Hotness that is Casey, I have slept maybe 4-5 hours a day. For the first time in a while, I actually got about 9 hours! Yea!

Hmmm...peanut butter is not really my thing. I usually have Gatorade (to keep my hydrated--works better than water for me) and some other snacky thing, like chips or Toast of Buttery Goodness. Crumbs are a problem.
