Five Characters I Could Live Without
Nicked from just about everyone...

5 TV Characters that Need to Go.The.Fuck.Away:

1. Nathan Templeton, Commander in Chief, Donald Sutherland. Evil snake. Evil sexist snake. Evil sexist ratbastard snake. Reminds me of several real members of the current administration. Ugh.

2. Scotty Valens, Cold Case, Daniel Pino. Waste of celluloid. What is his purpose on Cold Case these days? Oh, yeah. He fucks women and gets drunk. I can go to any local Frat House to see that kind of behavior. Why do I need to see it on one of my favorite shows too?

3. Debra Barone, Everybody Loves Raymond, Patricia Heaton. I am thankful with every fiber of my being that I neither grew up with someone like her as my own mother nor that I grew up to be like her. Hyper-critical and never satisfied. Yeah. Good.Times. Add to that personality, that whiny, nasal voice and pretty much I'm on meds.

4. Arthur Branch, Law & Order (mothership), Fred Dalton Thompson. This opinion is based entirely on the notion that active politicians (particularly of the Republican flavor) should keep their greedy fingers out of my favorite shows. He's not a bad actor. Arthur Branch, though certainly my least favorite of all the DA's on Law & Order, is a pretty par for the course character. I just don't like the man or his real life politics.

5. The Entire Cast of Sex and the City. What a dumbass, ridiculous, asinine, inane, and totally useless show, from beginning to end. At least Seinfeld and Friends both had redeeming qualities and I hated both of those shows too. But Sex and the City's only redeeming quality is the side note of SJP's successful marriage to Matthew Broderick, who I like. This does not mean that I do not appreciate Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattral. I do. They are both wonderful actors. I just don't happen to like their characters in this show.

So yeah.

I'm in a mood tonight. Sorry.

the thing about templeton (heh. the rat from charlotte's web) that i like/dislike is that without him, who becomes the president's nemesis? at least his character is believable, versus the OH horror of the week, kidnapping, dirty bomb scare and blowing up a sinking submarine with the nephew of your chief of staff aboard...

and now i know why borgia didn't make it... you went for the big boy ;)

Agh, the only one on that entire list I know anything about is Branch. *Hangs head in shame* I watch House instead of Commander in Chief...

So as unqualified as I am to say ANYTHING, Branch really does irritate me. And TV characters don't usually bug me. Dumb politicians invading TV shows... it's not right. *Scowling and pouting and stuff*

Templeton *laughs* Damnit, I was gonna say the Charlotte's Web thing!
I tried to watch CIC, if only for Geena Davis, yet Donald Sutherland as evil incarnate drove me away. I can like D.S. But tryin' to bring Geena down? No.
And Arthur Branch. Branch should... His favorite pastry place should stop selling to him. (I can't think of anything more utterly terrible than that)
