My Fangirly Weirdness knows no bounds...
I finally found a medic alert necklace that was in my price range (i.e. cheap). Yes, I got a dog tag. You see, I couldn't resist. 'Cuz this place offered the tag in Goliath Purple and I got a silencer/rubber bumper thingy in Neon Green. Yes, I am that sad. But the whole thing only cost me $11.00 and that includes the necklace part and the engraving.

And no, I didn't put "Terminal Limerism" on it. LOL I put 'Hemiplegic Migraines, Stroke-like Symptoms, aphasia, head pain, paralysis on rt side' on it. That should be clear enough, right?

Well, I'm off to take a shower and then to get dressed warmly, put on my new helmet, and go riding around the neighborhood on my new bike. :D

This is the first bike I've had since I was about 8 or 9 years old. My bike back then was red, white, and blue with "Star Spangled Banner" on the side because I was a huge Wonder Woman fan. Now my bike is Lime Green because I am a huge Diane Neal fan. Heh. Some things never change. LOL

Anyway, sad fangirl is off for some lovely exercise and then I will come back in and work on my review. :)

See you later!

LOL from fandom to fandom, eh? I'm betting it's a lot nicer there than it is here! I really want to ride to Kieran's school and pick her up, but I'D freeze on the way! lol but we did go for a bike ride like ... last week I think it was?! About that. And every though it was f*cking freezing we made it. Icicles on our noses and all. Have fun on your Limer Bike. :p

I had mucho fun on my bike. Though I am definitely just.starting.back to stamina. LOL

joemacsanne on November 23rd, 2005 07:24 pm (UTC)
LOL when I first read that, I thought it said 'stability' (instead of stamina) and I was picturing your bike just tipping over. I was going to ask if you had lime coloured training wheels! Good thing I re-read that one ... :p

I find my endurance was lacking SEVERELY after my surgery. I don't get it. I was off for like, 5-6 weeks in between seasons. I get back on the ice first thing in October and I still felt I had all my endurance. Then I go in for minor surgery and I felt like I'd lost it all. But now it's coming back, I'm almost at 100%. It's lung capacity more than anything. I have slight sports asthma, so now I just have te regain control of my breathing!!

Ooh, medic alert dog tags! I want one... except I'm horrible with necklaces. I always forget to put them on. I'd be better off with a bracelet. I NEVER take those off. I've worn my LiveStrong one for over half a year.

*Grin* Terminal Limerism. That'd be a good way to go, wouldn't it?

Biking. Fun! A bike dedicated to Wondy? Awesome. I went through a Wonder Woman obsession phase a few years ago...

I wanna go ride my bike now... but it's so coooooooold. It was 29F at about one in the afternoon. o_O It's not that cold over where you are, is it?
seftiri: Lime Satseftiri on November 23rd, 2005 08:24 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I'm looking forward to the dog tags. If, for nothing else, their conversation starting potential. Though having to explain my color choices to non-Limers will be interesting. LOL

And yes, Terminal Limerism would be a good way to go! LOL

As for my Wonder Woman inspired bike, I don't remember too much about it except the color and the "Star Spangled Banner" part. I don't remember picking it out so I guess my parents did that. But I loved it. Used to ride around pretending I was Diana Prince's little sister until they actually put a little sister on the damned show! (Drusilla Prince played by Debra Winger in her debut role). I also remember getting grounded for riding it too fast and injuring myself. What I don't remember is ever once wearing a helmet. Heck, sometimes I rode the durn thing barefoot. The 70's sure were a more relaxed time. LOL

As for weather...well, it's about 45F here at 3:23pm so it's not balmy. But I was going to ride no matter what! :D

*Grin* My brothers (bless them) have actually made a game out of spotting things that are lime green and purple. How they found out, I don't want to know, but it's cute. They were watching the Batman movie the other day, and the Joker's cars were lime green and purple. They noticed that before they noticed the violence. ^_^;;;

I don't usually wear a helmet when I cycle. >_> I don't even know if I have one. But the one time I've fallen in the last two years, I just skinned my hands and knees up pretty badly. (There's a bike trail a few miles from our house that my dad and I go to sometimes, but the parking lot is loose gravel. I fell there.) No one's ever said a word to me about wearing a helmet, actually...

Y'know, I wanna go out for a ride. Maybe I'll try and drag my dad along in the afternoon. I haven't been since school started anyway, so I could use the exercise. I don't care that it's below freezing. *Stubborn*

First time commenter, long... errr I mean first time reader as well. Is there a particular time I should come back and hit 'refresh' on my browser to get the new Review? Or do ya want me to sit here all night and not get any of the preperations for Turkey day done before 6am? ;o)

Seriously, I was sent here in the wee hours of the morning (2am-ish) and I've read just about every pre-review and review you've done. Love em to death. I'm not kidding when I say I'm sitting here hitting refresh every 2 or 3 minutes. But then I've been told I'm insanely obsessive. ;o)

Ok now I'm just going on about nothing, and that cant be a good thing for either of us. Just wanted to say 'Thanks' for making me laugh at 2am, and hope to see many more of your pre-reviews/reviews in the future. ;o)

oh, and i've also put you in my flist, if that's ok?
seftiri: LMAOseftiri on November 24th, 2005 12:55 am (UTC)
Welcome! And of course it is okay to friend me! I have friended you back. If I'm not mistaken, you are "She Who Dances with Music Videos" that Shay speaks of so highly!

I'm glad my reviews make you laugh! :D I am working on today's review even as I type this, so expect it up in the next hour or so! LOL

LOL...who knew they'd become so popular! LOL
TrueXena: CiC - Leading?truexena on November 24th, 2005 03:04 am (UTC)
I dont dance, so it's probably not me. ;o)
However, I've been known to slap a music vid together from time to time. Shay has begged me for a Casey/Olivia vid, so I'm trying to please her and gather up all the eps to get scenes. Hope to have one up and running for peeps to see soonish.

And thanks again for the reviews. *runs off to read the newly posted one now*

The review is up now! :) Just a little FYI.

I saw your subject heading My Fangirly Weirdness knows no bounds... and a little smile lit my face and I couldn't help murmuring 'Uh huh, uh huh'. I love all your limer-y items, they're just so weirdly fun and charming.

Do these medic alert tags tell people what to do in case of an attack, or are they just for medical personnel?
seftiri: DN Joyseftiri on November 24th, 2005 01:01 am (UTC)
Awwwwww. You are too sweet, Rachel, darlin'!

And no, they don't say what to do in case of an attack. Really, there is nothing to do except give me an aspirin, which will only help if I am really having a stroke.

It's mostly for medical personnel so that they don't just assume I am having a stroke and thereby mistreat my illness.

Does that make any sense at all? LOL

So...if I were to tell you I'm wearing a Lime green tshirt with a pic of Diane Neal on it and the words "Proud to be a Limer" around it, would you still think that was "fun and charming"? ;)
ralstralst on November 24th, 2005 01:24 am (UTC)
That's kind of what I'd mentally picutred you wearing - although I was sure there'd be some purple somewhere - so yep, still fun and charming.
TrueXena: Casey - Pink/Greentruexena on November 25th, 2005 06:13 am (UTC)
I'm sure the wording is in Purple. ;o)
seftiri: All Smilesseftiri on November 25th, 2005 06:16 am (UTC)
It actually isn't. LOL Black looked better. LOLOL
