Flu-mania!
So I went to bed shortly after my last post. On the way, I poured myself a glass of orange juice to take with me and I hid that lime.

Yes. I hid the lime. So I could have it for my very own. Bwahahahahahahaha...haha...ha...ha... Okay, yeah, there really isn't any reason to have a manaical laugh about that. Sorry.

Now...if only I could remember where I hid the lime...

LOL

I'm just kidding. I know where I put it. It's behind the Crisco in the pantry.

What?

Why are you looking at me like that?

Where would you hide a lime that you wanted for your very own?

...

Boy, this flu stuff really messes with your head...

O_o

Twoodles!

What's crisco? For some reason I thought it was a kind of wood varnish, but I doubt you'd but your precious lime within ten feet of that.

And are you feeling any better this morning?
seftiri: seven of nineseftiri on December 4th, 2005 01:35 pm (UTC)
Crisco is like an artificial lard. For baking. I think. I'm not into baking so my own grasp on the substance is lacking.

I just put my lime behind that because it's up high and I'm the tallest person in the house. :D

And no, not really. I have about two good space-free hours when I wake up that I can get work done but they are about over now. I can feel the spaceyness coming back. With a vengeance.

Nurse Mom says that I'll feel like crap for at least a week. She's already had it that long and is only now feeling a little better.

Oh joy.

Yeah, I'm a loony. With a fever.

I sure don't think I would have hid the lime under normal circumstances.

At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

And thanks for the well wishes! I'd like to get better soon too. I can't be around Zoe and Gabriel when I'm sick and I miss them. :(

I hope you feel better and get to see Zoe and Gabriel again soon :).

Thanks, sweetie! Me too! I miss the little ones too much when I am "quarantined". LOL

hiding the lime...

is this... like limerspaak for putting references to DN/CN into fic other than SVU? ;)
seftiri: Mar Grinseftiri on December 4th, 2005 03:10 pm (UTC)
:P Only you would make it into something other than the true geekiness it is...LOL

As for your definition...I don't know. I haven't written anything that wasn't an SVU story in so long, I practically forget how. LOL
shayshaych_03 on December 4th, 2005 03:21 pm (UTC)
and thus, show MY true geekness ;)

at least i didn't try to turn it into something pseudosexual... ;)

You? Are a dork. I love you for it. :)
seftiri: DiMar Friend Loveseftiri on December 4th, 2005 03:13 pm (UTC)
I am a dork, yes. But a dork with a fever and a very low, scratchy voice...so I'm allowed. ;)

Besides, what would you do if I posted boring stuff to my LJ? You'd all leave me! ::sniff::

Love you back, dearest! :D
Danielle: Casey - Determineddani_ellie on December 4th, 2005 03:51 pm (UTC)
We could NEVER leave you!! NEVER! I'm hurt that you could even think that!

Hmph.

;)

You hid the lime??? Behind Crisco??? I find that infinitely amusing. And... almost practical. o_O Two hours of sleep will do that to a person I guess.

Feel better. *Hugs*
seftiri: Been Limedseftiri on December 4th, 2005 03:34 pm (UTC)
:D See? Someone who sorta understands! ;)

Why so little sleep, darlin'?

I'll promise to try to feel better if you promise to try and get more sleep. :D *hugs back*

You might not want to rejoice that it's ME who understands. I'm kinda insane.

And the lack of sleep, I believe, was due at least partly to the fact that writer's block always chooses the most inconvenient time possible to cure itself, coupled with the fact that I'm a neurotic stress case.

I have two short papers to write today, one of which is a report on the historical inaccuracies of Disney's "Hercules", a movie I've seen roughly half of. So come two-thirty in the morning when I was finished writing my fic, I was up for about another hour in bed stressing out about it. Then I woke up at about five-thirty because I was cold, and couldn't get back to sleep. Yeah.

But I'll try if you do.
fewthistlefewthistle on December 4th, 2005 03:43 pm (UTC)
At least you hid it behind the Crisco, and not in the Crisco. Somehow, a fake lard covered lime does not sound all that appetizing *lol*

I do hope that you feel better soon, dearest, although, I have been told by people in the know, i.e., the other poor slobs who have had it, that this flu finds a nice comfy spot inside you and hunkers down for the winter! Drink lots of fluids, sleep as much as you can, and maybe try adding a little gin and tonic to your lime...if you have enough, you won't care if you have the flu. And you know, alcohol will kill just about anything! *vbg*

Take care my dear!!!!

I promise to do my best to take care of myself. I feel a nap coming on even as I type this. But I did get some work on the sequel to The Good Earth done, so I'm happy. :)

I do not want this flu for the entire winter. It is just going to have to find someone else to take him in. So there.

I only wish I could drink this thing away! Gin and tonics were my favorite drink once upon a time. Now, like everything else, alcohol is verboten. Sigh...

::hugs:: dearest! You take care too!

LOL

Well, considering I live alone, I have no reason to hide anything, but when I did live with people...

...I hid stuff in my closet, or under my bed.

At least you managed to keep it in the kitchen. :D
seftiri: Liv Casey Aniseftiri on December 4th, 2005 08:50 pm (UTC)
You know, I actually considered taking it upstairs with me but taking it out of the kitchen seemed so...wrong somehow.

God, this flu thing is soooooo weird.

Maybe I should go get the lime and eat it already. Before I build it a home or something. LOL

Tiffany: life excitingpiekid on December 4th, 2005 08:57 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I tried hiding stuff elsewhere in the kitchen, but when it comes to food, my brothers are like bloodhounds, they'll find it anywhere. And they did. But they knew I'd smack them upside the head if they came in my room...

A lime hiding home, eh? Well, just so long and you don't name the lime, I think your sanity is still safe. LOL

Yeah, just eat the lime. :D
