Flisters, I need your help...
Zoe, my little bumblebee, my niece, was diagnosed with two ear infections and pneumonia this morning. On Christmas Eve.

Could you all send her a few good thoughts and prayers today? It's not life-threatening but she must feel like utter crap. No kid deserves to feel that bad on Christmas. :(

Thanks, everyone.

I'll be updating again later tonight, probably.

She is going to be fine, but I know how much your good wishes helped me when I was sick.

You all are the best!

Casey Love to you all.

Twoodles,

Erin

ETA: Zoe is doing much better today than she was yesterday. She had fun opening her gifts this morning after all her medicines kicked in and then she even got animated and smiled and laughed a few times. Her parents got her a giant kitchen set, including a microwave and dishwasher. She loved it. But you know what she liked even more? A pink backpack filled with plastic dress-up high heels. I call it her Imedla Marcos Starter Set. She's been clopping around her house all afternoon. LOL

Thank you all for your good wishes and prayers. I really thought she was going to be much sicker than she was and I know you all helped with that.

Casey Love to you all,

Erin

awww. poor thing. one of my nieces spent practically her whole childhood til about the age of 6 with dual ear infections, so i know this old tune. i hope she tolerates the meds better than gretchen did! i ended up covered with the white crap more than my share of times. ;)

she'll be fine and she seems like the kind to weather things quite well. merry christmas -- remind her of all the good things so she doesn't have to think about the painful.

"The best six doctors anywhere
And no one can deny it
Are sunshine, water, rest, and love
Exercise and diet.
These six will gladly you attend
If only you are willing
Your mind they'll ease
Your will they'll mend
And charge you not a shilling."

~Nursery rhyme, What the River Knows, 1990

Here's wishing that these six will make Zoe well enough to enjoy Christmas!!

I hope that you and your family have a wondrous, joyful, magical Christmas!!

Joyeaux Noel, mon cher!!!

Poor kid. All I remember of my childhood is constant ear infections. To have pneumonia on top of that. I'm sending major good vibes her way.
