Ground Rules: Name your Top 20 List Of Lust, in no particular order. Your neighbor or grade school teacher doesn't count. Neither does Angelina Jolie, as she is automatically assumed to be on the list of any human being with a pulse. The list can be male, female or mixed. They can be real life celebrities, or characters in a movie or TV show. Tag 5 people on your flist to do this meme.

I agree with eclecticfan; sticking with characters seems to take the O_o factor out of this for me so....20 characters to follow.

And yeah, I think I'll be able to come up with 20.  I am that much of a slut.  ;)

1.  Casey Novak, as portrayed by Diane Neal (Law & Order: SVU)(yes, even blonde):  I love her.  It is that simple.  She's beautiful but not classically so.  She's intelligent but not arrogant.  She's driven but not heartless.  She's successful but not perfect.  She is delightfully Human.  And she is despised.  I adore Casey.  She's so...flawed.  I can relate to that. A smart, smart-assed redhead fighting for Justice! Just ignore the travesty that is her hair these days.

2.  Olivia Benson, as portrayed by Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: SVU)(preferably 5th season):  A tough NYPD detective who wears jeans, leather, and a gun.  Plus she is a noble creature at her core.  And troubled.  And strong.

3.  Eowyn, Shieldmaiden of Rohan, as portrayed by Miranda Otto (Lord of the Rings films):  Any woman who can jam a sword into the face of the Witch King and survive?  Please.  I am so there.  And let's not forget her beautiful smile.

4.  Seven of Nine, as portrayed by Jeri Ryan (Star Trek: Voyager):  The Archetypal Fool, begun her journey to Humanity 18 years too late.  A core of heartbreaking tenderness and confusion hidden beneath emotionless ice and fury.  Oh, to melt that ice!  Also, there are those eyes and that inexpressibly beautiful smile.  I am not a fan of the catsuit, so do not assume that has anything to do with my love for Seven.

5.  Lucy Eleanor Moderatz, as portrayed by Sandra Bullock (While You Were Sleeping):  The Girl Next Door, personified.  Who didn't fall in love with her when watching that movie?  Be honest.

6.  Erin Brockovich, as portrayed by Julia Roberts (Erin Brockovich):  A redheaded smart-ass fighting for a cause?  Isn't that the definition of siren?

7.  Princess Leia Organa, nee Skywalker, as portrayed by Carrie Fisher (Star Wars, et al.):  The first woman I ever saw who could shoot laser guns, fly spaceships, and who was in charge of the rebellion.  Strong, smart, smart-assed, assured, powerful and--yes--a brunette.  What's not to love?

8.  Ruth Jamison, as portrayed by Mary-Louise Parker (Fried Green Tomatoes):  The personification of Femininity.  It's that simple.  I came out the year I saw it and I was totally, head-over-heels in love with Ruth.  I understood that movie in a purely visceral way.  I've always been the tomboy agog over the pretty girl.  And yes, I, too, would put my hand directly into the heart of a mammoth beehive for her.  Or even for just one of her smiles.

9.  Gabrielle of Poteidaia, as portrayed by Renee O'Connor (Xena: Warrior Princess)(prior to the loss of her blood innocence):  The Girl Next Door, but with a fighting staff.  Again, smart, smart-assed redheads (okay, strawberry blonde...whatever) fighting for a cause.  Next!

10.  Elizabeth Blaine, as portrayed by Diane Neal (Dracula: Ascension and Dracula: Legacy)(preferably once turned to vampirism):  I have a thing for vampires.  And redheads.  And Diane Neal.  This isn't rocket-science, after all.

11.  Legolas, as portrayed by Orlando Bloom (Lord of the Rings)(preferably right after a display of his bow skills):  I have a thing for Elves and archers.  Yes, he is male.  But he fired arrows as he slid down a stairwell on the back of an Urukai shield!  Even I can't resist that!

12.  Doc Holliday, as portrayed by Val Kilmer (Tombstone):  It's the voice.  And the quaint Southern colloquialisms.  And the sex simply oozing out of his pores.

13.  CJ Cregg, as portrayed by Allison Janney, (The West Wing):  Another smart, smart-assed redhead fighting for a cause.  I think I'm seeing a trend here.

14.  Amelia Chase, as portrayed by Diane Neal (Law & Order: SVU, episode "Ridicule"):  The bad girl of the bunch.  Another smart, smart-assed redhead, but this time an auto-erotic asphyxiatrix/rapist.  Despite her crimes, there's something inordinately sexy about Amelia.  And also something...lost.  Plus, yeah, Diane Neal.  Sue me.

15.  Darby Shaw, as portrayed by Julia Roberts (The Pelican Brief):  Another (No, really.  I didn't know it was "a type" of mine until I saw this list.) smart redhead fighting for a cause...or, in this case, the truth.  And she's on the run.

16.  Dana Katherine Scully, as portrayed by Gillian Anderson (The X-Files):  Oh HOLY SHIT!  Another smart, smart-assed redhead fighting for a cause!  Jesus!  What is WITH me?

17.  Aeryn Sun, as portrayed by Claudia Black (Farscape):  Smart, smart-assed, haunted, BRUNETTE (thank God), who is a soldier, a leader, and who is running so hard from love that she runs right into it.  And that accent!  Kill.me.now.

18.  Wind In His Hair (Pa'i'na'tate), as portrayed by Rodney A. Grant (Dances With Wolves):  A beautiful Native American warrior.  His honor is his heart.  So beautiful.  So very beautiful.

19.  Lottie Wilkins, as portrayed by Josie Lawrence (Enchanted April):  Goofy British matron who is slightly left of centre and isn't afraid to say what's in her heart.  She is the Innocence of Childhood, personified.  And I fell in love with her almost immediately.  And yes, she's a redhead.  Let it go.

20.  Selene, as portrayed by Kate Beckinsale (Underworld and Underworld: Evolution):  Quite possibly the perfect woman.  A dark-haired, British vampire who carries shiny guns and wears black leather and vinyl.  Be still my hopefully-soon-to-be-undead heart!  ::swoon::

Well, I don't know about all of you, but I sure feel enlightened!

I have a very short list of men that interest me in a lustful way. But they're accounted for. LOL

So your ideal woman is a strong redhead with no heartbeat and a knives and bows collection that she weilds with the skill of a master? Sounds reasonable to me. I'll keep a look out and send her your way ::grin::

LOLOL Yes. My personal ad should read something like this, I suppose:

GWP woman in search of vampiric lesbian weapons master for fun and frolic. Redheads a plus! Call today!

"I love Angelina Jolie! Does anyone else like Angelina Jolie? She's got enormous lips!" LOLOL

::nods head at 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 14, 16, & 17:: Wanna know why? Cuz they're hot. LOL

I should not be allowed to have sugar so early in the morning. :D
seftiri: AJ Cuteseftiri on February 2nd, 2006 05:41 pm (UTC)
Yes, yes, I could have just said "Cuz they're hot." But you know me. Why say in three words what I can just as easily say in three hundred?

How long did this post take you?

Then you can answer my question!

In all seriousness and not to be snarky, what do you see in Annie/Borgia?

I'd like to know from your perspective because I just don't like the woman but I can't put my finger on why, exactly.

Help me out, eh?
rave_review on January 31st, 2006 09:54 pm (UTC)
I could list all the ones I agree with, but it would take too long. *grins* So many red-heads!
And Oh God, I love Erin Brockovich too.
Hmm, that reminds me... I forgot to put any of Marg Helgenberger's characters on the list! Oops.
seftiri: aerynseftiri on February 2nd, 2006 05:47 pm (UTC)
You know, I had to consciously decide whether to include Marg or not! And weep, she didn't make the cut!

But I do love her so!
