Today, so far...
Okay. I understand. Really. Because the world just works like this...

I had to get up early this morning at 7:30am to prepare my mattress for a customer service visit from a "sleep technician". O_o So, I did. Reluctantly. Very reluctantly. Because I was having a particularly lovely dream about a particularly lovely human being. Which the alarm tore through like it was tissue paper. Damn alarm. Damn mattress. Damn "sleep technician".

I got up, stripped the bed and trucked the various bedding to various locations. I went downstairs to contemplate breakfast and the phone rang. It was the mattress people. My "sleep technician" called in sick and they needed to reschedule the visit.

::insert unhappy glare here::

"Sure. That's no problem at all. The tenth? Absolutely."

But wheee! I can go back to bed!

...

Right after I remake it, that is.

So I remade it with fresh, clean sheets and pillowcases. Ahhhh... I climbed in with the cat and set my alarm for two hours.

I was drifting...just seconds from falling back to sleep when the doorbell rang.

I hopped out of bed, jumped back into my jeans and ran downstairs to open the door to...

...Regional Pest Control, here to do our semi-annual pest controlling.

"Please, by all means. Spray the outside of the house. Go right ahead. Thanks. Bye."

I went back upstairs, took off the jeans, and climbed back into the bed with the cat who, by this time, was a little annoyed. I knew how he felt.

Fifteen minutes later, the doorbell again.

I hopped out of bed, jumped back into the jeans, and ran downstairs to...

...sign for the pest control service.

Sigh...

I went back upstairs, visited the Little Annoyed Girls' Room, and was heading back to bed when the phone rang. I ran into to the office to answer the phone to hear...

..."Is Erin available?"

Sigh...

"This is she..."

Long story short, I have an interview with a telecommunications provider tomorrow for customer service. They saw my resume on Monster.com and called out of the blue.

I'm never going to get back to sleep today, I just know it.

I just hope that I get to go back to that dream I was having this morning later tonight. Or another one equally as lovely.

Darnit!

Anyway, that's my rant of the morning.

Twoodles!

Today must have just been one of those days. I was supposed to be able to sleep in until 9 - yay! Except that everyone and their mom (including my own, of course) decided they needed to call me...every 5 minutes from 7:00 am on... Seven in the gorram morning!

...For the love of Pete...

I feel your pain, my Limer friend, I feel it...

Just because the dang Groundhog has to get up early doesn't mean THE REST OF US do!

For the love of Pete is right!

Oi!

Argh. That sucks.

Though, I'll trade you that if you want to contend with the continuing cleaning out of staff at my place of employment. I am not having the best day ever.

Dani, honey! ::snuggles::

At least two decent things came out of all the getting up, going to bed, getting up again - Clean sheets & a job interview. It could turn into a good day for a nap ;)

Hmmmm....that's true!

Perhaps I was too tired to look at the bright side!

Thanks!

Oooo...nap...

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap.

That would be nice, but probably not in the cards. We shall see.

Ooh, look at me be lazy with my flist again. Sucks that you didn't get as much sleep as you wanted. Way I see it, anyone getting as much sleep as they really want almost never happens. (Heh, if I did I'd never wake up.)

Still, I'd trade your seven thirty for my six anyday.

I guess I have to get back into the habit of "normal" hours.

Damn.

I was enjoying my irregular hours. ;)

Irregular hours rock. >_> I'm the type to go to bed at one in the morning and wake up at six, so only my waking time is normal.

Meh. Good luck getting back into a normal sleeping pattern. It's hard to get back into the habit of waking up early. Not pleasant, either.
