"Fat", a pre-review
Because LJ was being a little whiny bitch last night and I had to go to bed because it was a work night, I didn't have a chance to put up my pre-review for "Fat". Which, yes, means that eventually there will be a review of "Fat".

Believe me, there will be. One review, either "Venom", "Fault", or "Fat" will be up by midnight Friday (EDT).

In the meantime, here is my pre-review for "Fat".

So who else thought it was bad planning on the parts of the writers, et al. for Casey to have said

"Like they say, you can never be too rich or too thin."

to the one person on set who is being filmed from the nostrils down these days due to drastic (albeit perfectly understandable) changes in her weight??

Really. Couldn't they have put Cragen there or something?

I imagine Diane was thinking this during the filming of that line: Don't look at the belly. Don't look at the belly.

And as an aside on the previews for next week's episode where the urgent-sounding voiceover guy says

"A case so big, it will bring. her. back." (While showing a picture of Olivia at a computer.)

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but in order for the bitch to "come back", doesn't she first have to GO AWAY??

Just a thought.

Twoodles.

Be glad. Be very glad.

Basically some clinically obese black kids avenge an attack on their clinically obese older brother by kidnapping, beating, and sodomizing a skinny white girl allegedly involved in the attack on their brother. Oh, and they cut off one of her fingers.

After a bunch of really awful crap in the middle (where the victimized brother shoots and kills the white boy who initiated the attack on him, etc. etc.), they find out that the original vic, the skinny white girl, was once clinically obese herself and she now cannot stand the sight of obese people so she participated in the brutal beating (which rendered the victim of that crime unable to walk and he ended up losing three fingers and his job).

::headdesk:: ::headdesk:: ::headdesk::

I knew it was going to be an offensive and pitiful episode. I just knew it.
