I watched SVU with my gf last night and...
...all I have to say is that I am damned glad I'm not reviewing this season because I have to tell you, I was laughing so hard at that episode that it would have made taking notes very difficult.

The only two intelligent people in that episode (and I'm talking people who had more than two lines) were Cragen and Novak. The rest of them were a) insane and b) fucking stupid. Oh, and c) criminals.

Anyway, I am officially looking forward to the Holiska Hiatus. I am tired of her Save the World attitude. I hope she has fun as an eco-terrorist. I have this image of Olivia Benson wearing hemp clothing and shopping at organic co-ops and drinking green tea. It's not working for me. I mean, how is she going to convince them that her lipstick and matte gloss are made by companies that don't test on animals?

She just doesn't have that granola vibe, ya know?

I am in Vegas for 20 days. I get to spoil my gf. And Nigella Lawson's new Food Network show debuts on October 1st.

Life. Is. Good.

Love to you all,

I did enjoy MGH's performance, even if her character had moments of being nuts. LOL I'm on the fence about Star acting intelligently. Some things she did were proper and others weren't. And I'm telling you, I think Dana (the character's actual name, I think they forgot that) doesn't have an accent, but 'Star' does.

At least in this season premiere Cragen had balls, and Casey was there to TRY and keep them legal. She does what she can with what she has to work with, after all. Also, there was good humor (humor caused by things other than the plot) thanks to some great one-liners.

One could only wish we could get back the butch Liv we know and love. You know, with her prolly having to go without lipstick and such you'd think we could. If. Only.

Wasn't she in a coat with fur?!?

There is only one cure for JumpedTheSharkASeasonAgo-OnlyWatchItForCasey-itis. VERONICA MARS!!!

I haven't watched the episode yet. (how long has it been since it aired?) Yeah, can ya feel the excitement over here?

Anyhoo, I'll REALLY miss your reviews this season, they gave me hope for certain episodes, made me laugh more at others. They will be sorely missed.

Enjoy your time in Vegas.

well you do have to recall that this ep was shot last season.

maybe there is still hope? a fresh actress as partner might make the writers "forget" how badly they'd been writing liv and she'll suddenly get a 3rd/4th/5thish season transplant?

enjoy vegas... perhaps you could get down to see some pretty stuff in arizona too :)

I missed all but about 30 seconds of it. Enough to see Star holding a gun on Liv & then the last 10 seconds of them calling her number. I *might* try to catch it if it shows again on USA, if I don't have to sort socks or anything as exciting as that.

YAY Vegas! Hope you are having a fantastic time ^-^

Have fun away! :) I agree, reviewing some of the more monotonous episodes can drive a person crazy. I don't ever (of course) write reviews, but my friends always go 'what happened in it? was it at least good?'? Unfortunately though, recently I've not been recommending any SVU eps. I realise the new season just started so that's not too inspirational! But I like Marcia so I'm willing to stick with this new 'direction' for a while ...
