First, I was tagged. 5 Guilts.
Guilt
What is yours?
Explain yourself
Culinary: Chicken Livers Have loved them since I was a child, beyond all logic and better sense.
Literary: Dar and Kerry fanfic I am, strangely enough, addicted to the tech lingo part of it! Is that not weird?
Audiovisual: Live ER shows on Discover Health You'd think I'd have enough of ERs and medical stuff considering my health problems and the fact I work in healthcare. But apparently not.
Musical: The song "Jolene", by Dolly Parton I collect versions of this song. I have 18 now. And one is in Finnish.
Celebrity: Julia Roberts For some reason I am embarrased by my admiration of her. Probably because she was so reviled when I was in college by the theatre peers I worked with.

to complete this same Quiz, Its HERE.

Second, I had the EGD last Friday. Which I will spare you the details of because no one should have to go through it, even in a re-telling. However, they found that the entire interior surface of my stomach was covered in small ulcers of an inflammatory nature. Which they then biopsied. I have not heard back yet on the results but this is a completely different problem than the liver, for which I am being referred to a hepatologist. This stomach thing is something they tracked onto while I was in the hospital last and it worried them enough to find out what was going on there because, really, I only have so much digestive tract to play with these days.

I guess we'll see.

In other news, I am almost completely finished with my holiday shopping/errands/plans, which is practically unheard of. Usually I am getting started right about now. I do not understand. But I am also not complaining either. Some yahoo on TV this evening shouted "Only 11 more shopping days until Christmas!" and for a full ten seconds I panicked, like I always do this time of year. Then I reminded myself that I have only one more gift to get and some mailing and wrapping to do and I am done. It was a decidedly alien feeling, that sense of calm. Go me!

Okay. I have to go to work tomorrow and it is entirely too late for me to be up.

I'm going to go pass out now.

Twoodles.

I'm wishin and hoping that you feel better. Because bad health keeps Erin away from the computer. And you know we can't live without your snarkage for very long.

And congrats on completed Christmas plans! You'll have to tell me your secret later.

In other news...Randomly Diane Neal popped into my head. Specifically Elizabeth Blaine in Dracula, to which my first thought was:

'mmm...sexy' Then I thought of you. Just thought I'd let you know.

Have a wonderful rest of the week.

Oh thank you! :) I really could use the good wishes right now. Tonight is shaping up to be a "bad pain night". Ugh.

And how interesting that you thought of me after thinking of Liz. LOL Strangely enough, that happens to a lot of people.

Okay. Two others. Which, you are correct, is not a lot. LOL

I have a comedy routine footage of Omid Djalili singing a bit of "Jolene." shatterpath and I can't hear the song now without thinking of that...

I bet not! LOL

The first time I heard my Finnish version, I just looked at my media player as if it were on crack. It took me a little time to figure out that the language was Finnish and not some strange alien tongue. Thank Google for...well...Google!

I know those are late ones but best wishes for your health.
I'm there too and I know all about EGD, since I have those twice a year (colon cancer three years ago and I have a nice colony of those nasty ulcers in my digestive system).
Hang in there!

Sorry to be so late in responding and sorry to hear about your colon cancer. Am I right that you work in a law firm with a bunch of very demanding lawyers? That stress must be havoc on your system.

I know that I lost my colon (ulcerative pancolitis) because of a stressful work environment so please be careful!
